A Small Detail Missed in Chapter 1095!
Saint Figarland Garling is a World Noble of the Figarland Family and the Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights. He was formerly active as a “champion” on God Valley. As Supreme Commander of the God’s Knights, Garling can pass judgment upon even his fellow World Nobles for behavior deemed intolerable.
Since his introduction, Saint Figarland Garling has been associated with Shanks. Many have also theorized that Figarland is the one who scarred Whitebeard.
Shanks being a former member of the Figarland Family would provide an easy explanation for why the Five Elders granted him a private audience. Plus Garling is literally identical to Shanks. After Chapter 1095 I’ve seen so many thumbnails and fanarts showing Garling with red hair due to his resemblance to Shanks but this can’t be true, confirmed by Oda’s shading of his hair.
Young Garling does not have the famous red hair that Shanks does, as it appears white in the manga pages.
Out of every One Piece character with non-black hair, Shanks is the only one who Oda gives special treatment and shades his hair. Even Nami’s orange hair is left unshaded. But Garling’s hair is not shaded.
Clearly if Garling and Shanks are father and son, then Shanks must have gotten his hair color from his mother’s side.
