Are Jewelry Bonney and Ginny the same person?
Oda is being very on the nose about Jewelry Bonney. Everyone calling her “a little girl”, and the idea of Ginny being her mom. The names sound very similar, and they both be munchin’.
What if the reason Oda is being so forthright is to throw us off from the big twist that Bonney & Ginny are the SAME person.
Why does Vegapunk want her to not see Kuma’s memories? Why do we not know the name of Bonney’s Devil Fruit? Because she will find out that at some point something horrible happened in Ginny’s life, and as a result Kuma took her pain and memories. She acquires the devil fruit as they are growing up, and I have a feeling that it is WAY more powerful than we think. In the face of a lifetime of pain, adult Ginny will use her fruit and (maybe accidentally) do something really terrible. Something that will leave her utterly destroyed with guilt and anguish.
When Bonney sees the memories, she sees more than what happened to Kuma, and on God Valley, and the horrors that Saturn is capable of. She sees the truth of her life and her devil fruit, and all the pain that comes with it. This is how she is capable of changing her form into one more like Kuma, she knows the truth of it. Shortly in the manga I believe she will tell the Straw Hat crew what her fruit is really named, and it will drop a bomb about what it’s capable of.
No Buccanneer blood in her. Kuma is really the last of his kind that we know of, and soon he will very likely be dead – leaving behind all the pain he tried to hide from the woman he cared for most.
I also have a feeling that Kuma‘s last breath will be used to transfer all of his OWN pain from his ENTIRE LIFE into Saturn. I have a feeling he won’t survive it.
