Big Mom Defeating Kaido Foreshadowed?

Advertisements

Oda loves to make parallels in One Piece. Big Mom landing on Wano’s shore reminds me of the scene where her parents left her on Elbaf’s shore.

Now that Kaido has Big Mom captured, the question is what will he do with her.
The most obvious outcome from this involves whatever past Kaido has with Big Mom and whatever debt he has with her.

I’m gonna make quick speculation here. Whatever the nature of this debt, it will somehow prevent Kaido from just throwing Big Mom into the ocean because that’s too easy a solution for One Piece standards. Kaido is okay with this to some extent considering he was fine with King tossing her into the ocean before but that was basically a battle situation. In this situation with Big Mom captured, the advantage of keeping her alive will outweigh killing her right now.

Kaido is gonna attempt to clear his so called “lifelong debt” with her and she’ll refuse obviously and that’s when Kaido will resort to torture. And of course the best torture for Big mom specifically is… You guessed it. Starvation.

And the Time Bomb will start ticking!

Do you know on which day Big Mom broke her fast and went on a rampage? The Sixth Day.
Do you know how many days are left for the fire festival? 6 Days.

I saw this scene when Big Mom rampaged in Elbaf, watch closely as Big Mom kills the old giant.

The place is engulfed in fire (Foreshadowing Fire Festival), his clothes and horn look similar to Kaido. Then see how his horn, very similar to Kaido’s, gets broken and flies in the air before he dies. So I think that Big Mom won’t die in this arc as some people speculate, Kaido will. Hell she might even be the one to kill him.
