Big Mom will not abandon Wano until she has defeated the Worst Generation Pirates!

Big Mom is pretty scary in the latest chapter. She uses the life span of the Beasts Pirates subordinates to turn the metal beams that injured her into Homies, as well as to boost the power of Hera, Prometheus and Napoleon. Big Mom also uses up a year of her own life span to empower herself, growing in size!

How long will this power-up last? Because if it’s a permanent effect it would be very unfair. Interesting to see that Homies got stronger too. Can she sacrifice more life to get even stronger, maybe even the size of a Giant? Imagine the strength of an ‘Ikoku’ now. It’s curious that the person who wanted to turn other people into Giants has a gigantification power, well played Oda.

I’m enjoying the dynamic between Kid and Law, even though Kid hasn’t revealed all the secrets of his devil fruit, he is showing to be a person who works well as a team, encouraging Law to spare no efforts and give his best until the end, and referring Big Mom’s fall to a joint effort: ‘We’ll take her down’, not ‘I’ll take her down’.

Very impressive what Kid and Law have accomplished, I mean, while Luffy is fighting Kaido, look what they did to Big Mom! The first time she’s ever been hurt on panel, and as she said it herself “in a long time.” But even more I’m just as marveled by their resolution as now their dreams hang in the balance. Law says he’ll never learn the true history unless this monster goes down.

In Chapter 1029 Hawkins said Kid’s dream was to hunt an Emperor, Kid declaring his pirating career worthless if he were to fall here, therefore Kid this chapter phrasing this as a kill or be killed scenario perfectly matches his ambition.

I always see theories on how Big Mom is supposedly going to abandon the battle when Kaido loses and/or kidnap Robin and it gets my head scratching. Did people forget why she’s there in the first place? The idea of Luffy getting away from her was enough to make her look like a loser, imagine how shitty and weak she’ll look to the world if she runs away from the alliance.

Not only that, but this battle is symbolic and she knows it. Kaido said it earlier but she repeats in the latest chapter. The Worst Generation is there to grab her out of their thrones, her abandoning the battle is literally just stepping aside and letting them sit on it.

I get some of you still think she’s play a part in Elbaf but honestly, if she loses here now that doesn’t mean she can’t show up for a final character moment later down in the story.
