Franky is Getting Kuma’s Paw Paw Devil Fruit
We all thought Franky was gonna have a big moment in Egghead, right? Well, he hasn’t yet, but I don’t think that means he won’t. He’s currently in the room with Saturn, where Kuma will presumably arrive soon. Before this arc is over, I think Franky is gonna have his moment (and let’s be honest, it’s overdue…).
First of all, let’s talk about why Franky is tipped to have a moment. Egghead is an arc all about science with Kuma (the cyborg) and Vegapunk (the scientist) at the centre. Franky has ties to both these characters:
-He is a cyborg, just like Kuma. -He is a scientist, just like Vegapunk. -Vegapunk is his “hero”. -Kuma protected the Thousand Sunny for two years and left after Franky arrived back (this would mean a lot to Franky). -Kuma sent Franky to the island Vegapunk grew up on (perhaps recognising something in Franky he thought was also present Vegapunk).
Franky has more to do with these two characters than any other Straw Hat, so it would be odd for him not to have a moment in this arc. What could it be?
I think that there’s a decent chance that Kuma will die and pass the fruit on to one of the Straw Hats, thus completing the popular number theory, as well as being a beautiful inheritance of Kuma’s will. While I think that Vivi is heavily tipped to be the inheritor, I’m gonna go ahead and say that I think it’s going to be Franky.
I think that Franky saying that he doesn’t want to eat a Devil Fruit in Dressrosa could be a misdirection. Could lead to a moment where under pressure Franky has no choice but to eat it and says something like “damn it! Now I can’t swim” while they escape Egghead.
Also, a lot of people thought he was a Devil Fruit user the first type we met him, even the characters. Misdirection yet also foreshadowing? Would be pretty Oda.
I also think that the paws will appear on his little hands that pop out of his bigger ones, which would be pretty funny.
So yeah, I don’t think any of this is actual evidence for Franky inheriting the fruit, but I just have a feeling that this is what we’re gearing towards: Franky inheriting Kuma’s fruit and Vegapunk’s science before the arc is over.
