At the end of chapter 965, the Whitebeard Pirates headed toward an island where a ruckus was going on. This ruckus was because of the Roger Pirates, and Roger looked forward to battling Whitebeard on his final journey.
People will be disappointed but in my opinion there will be no real fight between Roger and Whitebeard next chapter.
Lady Toki will recognize the straw hat and we will learn some pieces about the Void Century, the D. and the Poneglyphs.
That’s when Roger will start looking for Raftel(Laugh Tale) with Toki, Oden, Momonosuke, Hiyori, Nekomamushi and Inuarashi. It will last almost two years.
Roger and Whitebeard will go to Wano afterwards and drink to Oden in that famous scene we’ve seen before.
This flashback is pretty much leading up to the Whitebeard Pirates going to Wano in present times.
There is no way that they would not help Oden’s children after all they went through together.
