At Onigashima, Queen used a Gatling gun to attack the rebels of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance. The gun is loaded with Excite Bullets carrying Ice Oni, Queen’s masterpiece virus according to himself, that turn those infected into demonic icy creatures.
It seems the bullets Queen used were laced with some form of toxin.
I wonder if we’ll see any of the Straw Hats temporarily zombiefied. This seems like yet another callback to both Thriller Bark and Punk Hazard, but here the ice demon infection seems way more potent than Shinokuni.
Ice Oni is probably a plague that makes the infected go berserk and exhaust their life energy doing so.
Things develop interestingly, I suspect that Queen’s plague will play a major role in the downfall of the alliance common warriors.
Aside from heat plague which we saw in Udon, we are seeing a cold plague now which looks even more powerful as it seems to be turning infected into enemies unless the ice demons were all Beast Pirates but didn’t look that way.
Chopper is present, so I wonder if we’ll see him play some role in healing the infected. I expect Chopper to do something about it while Drake and Zoro stop Queen from doing any more damage. Maybe Law will show up and do quick shambles to save the unaffected samurai. Will Marco’s healing abilities work on this kind of plague? Not sure how they are going to get out of this.
