Ever since the chapter where Marco knocked down the ship of the Big Mom Pirates I hoped that he would meet up with Luffy and talk to him after the battle.
There is something that Marco can do for Luffy that Luffy probably did not realize he needed, and that’s getting proper closure on Ace. Have you guys noticed that Luffy never got to say goodbye to Ace the proper way? Luffy had to get out of Marineford fast and never went to Ace’s funeral.
Oda can have Marco sit down with Luffy at the end of Wano arc and say “hey, we made Ace and the old man’s memorial at his island, you are more than welcome to go over there and pay your respects, you deserve it more than any of us”. And just imagine this emotional scene where Luffy and the Straw Hats are at Ace’s grave and Luffy breaks down , but this time, his Nakama is there to pick him back up .
What do you guys think, cause I strongly believe that needs to happen.
