The Power to Cut Kaido’s Blast Breath

In the latest chapter Inuarashi and Nekomamushi have defeated Jack, and Kaido intervenes in the battle as he blasts fire from his mouth toward the Nine Red Scabbards.

However, Kinemon cuts through the fire and wounds Kaido’s face, and the Scabbards prepare to give their lives to bring down Kaido.

Now about Kinemon cutting Yonko Kaido’s Blast Breath, an incredibly powerful attack that could destroy a mountain easily, and his face.

First of all it was stated by Kinemon that there is no fire he can’t cut. So no problems there. Secondly, Luffy already said that with Ryou he can hurt Kaido. The Red Scabbards are master of Ryou so there is no problem.

Oh and by the way that doesn’t make Kaido weaker since is the first character in all of One Piece (confirmed) that required Ryou to even be hurt.
Simply Kinemon possesses one of the few techniques that can damage/neutralize Kaido. It’s how Brook can hard-counter Big Mom’s abilities by virtue of his power but can’t defeat her in battle. Or how Nami can neutralize her weather-based attacks, but can’t actually damage Big Mom. It’s the same here: Kin’emon possesses Advance Armament Haki and the ability to cut fire, which are two hard-counters for Kaido’s abilities.

I keep seeing people expecting the Red Scabbards to get wasted, one chapter after next, yet every time we see them they keep getting the better of Kaido. I don’t expect them to ultimately win, but Kaido is slowly realizing he’s in for a very serious fight.

The Red Scabbards are extremely powerful and they are expecting to die here. I suspect to prepare for feels soon, sadly Scabbards’ story is almost to an end.
