Great conclusion to the Hachinosu battle. Garp laughing makes a lot of sense when you realize he was finally successful in raising someone that didn’t turn against the Marines.
Dragon, Luffy, Ace, Sabo and now Kuzan all affiliated themselves with factions that aren’t the Marines, so to see someone like Koby actually committed to carrying out his legacy must feel insanely satisfying. All he wanted was to secure the future of the young and this chapter comes full circle. You can tell he’s now glad to die knowing this.
