#10 – Current Vice Admiral Gion
Gion, better known by her alias Momousagi, is a Marine vice admiral.
During the timeskip, Gion was considered as a candidate to become one of the new admirals. However, she did not make the cut, as Issho and Ryokugyu attained the positions instead. Chaton asked her out 100 times, but she rejected him each time. She has to be very strong to be considered a candidiate for the promotion to marine Admiral.
She and Tsuru are currently the highest ranked known female Marines.
#9 – Current Vice Admiral Tsuru
Tsuru is a Marine Headquarters vice admiral. As a Marine Vice Admiral and being a part of the same generation of prominent Marines as Garp and Sengoku, Tsuru is possibly one of the most powerful Marines in the series. Even in her elderly age of 63, Tsuru was strong enough to strike intense fear into Doflamingo.
Tsuru ate the Woshu Woshu no Mi, a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit that allows her to literally “wash and hang out to dry” people and objects as if they were clothes, turning them into flat and malleable like clothes. This disables the opponents by rendering them unable to move. This can also “clean” a limited amount of evil off the victims, which is considered a dangerous ability against pirates.
#8 – Current Admiral Ryokugyu
Aramaki, better known by his alias Ryokugyu, is an admiral in the Marines.
Ryokugyu effortlessly defeated King and Queen, two All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates with bounties of over 1,000,000,000 Berries, and several of their subordinates. However, it is possible that the pirates had not fully recovered from the injuries they sustained during the Udon prison breakout and the raid on Onigashima that had happened days earlier. Ryokugyu was also able to single-handedly contend with a group consisting of Raizo, Shinobu, Inuarashi, Denjiro, Nekomamushi, Kawamatsu, Yamato and Kozuki Momonosuke and held the advantage over them until the latter gained better control of his Devil Fruit powers. Ryokugyu is an extremely resilient man, capable of taking an advanced Haoshoku Haki attack from Yamato directly to the head, and while he confessed the attack hurt and was impressed with Yamato’s level of Haki, he was unphased by the attack.
Ryokugyu ate the Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform his body into plantlife. He can generate large quantities of plants to unleash overwhelming large-scale attacks. Additionally, his plants can rapidly absorb any liquid they touch, which includes dehydrating living creatures after impaling them, leaving them as shriveled husks.
#7 – Current Admiral Fujitora (Issho)
Fujitora is a Marine admiral. In terms of combat strength, he is considered to be one of the strongest fighters within the entire World Government structure.
Fujitora ate the Zushi Zushi no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him the to manipulate gravity around a chosen location at will by sending gravitational forces. Fujitora can manipulate gravitational forces by channeling his Devil Fruit ability through his sword. He can send the gravitational forces by swinging or just simply moving his sword.
Fujitora has also shown mastery over two types of Haki: Busoshoku Haki and Kenbunshoku Haki, which he uses to compensate for his blindness in battle.
#6 – Current Admiral Kizaru (Borsalino)
Fitting his title of admiral, Kizaru is one of the most powerful fighters within the World Government and the Marines.
The greatest aspect of Kizaru’s physical abilities is his immense speed and extraordinary reflexes, which is further enhanced by the light based powers of his devil fruit. Kizaru, in fact, possesses the power of the Pika Pika no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the powers of the element of light.
He is capable of moving and attacking at the speed of light, and all of his attacks are based on the element of light, such as firing energy blasts from his fingertips or feet with extreme accuracy and precision. His power is very destructive, causing huge explosions and can easily destroy buildings. He also has the ability to reflect himself, essentially moving from one location to the next at the speed of light. Due to this fruit’s power, Kizaru is possibly the fastest man in the world.
