So, this theory tries to show why Kaido’s son will be good.
Last chapter revealed Kaido’s son’s name, Yamato. Thanks to this, I have made a theory according to which he is probably going to help the Straw Hats against his dad.
To begin with, Yamato in japanese means Great Peace. This shows how different his thoughts over conflict are with his father’s and why he might be the a key in bringing Peace to Wano. Secondly, Yamato was a Japanese prince who had problems with his father. The king would send him to impossible missions to kill him and he would survive and become King.
Now, I’m not saying Kaido wants to kill his son. However, I believe Oda took this conflict between father and son. Thus, the figure of Yamato can imply a new strength for the Alliance.
What is more, when King Yamato died, the legend says he turned into a White Bird which might also indicate inspiration for Kaido’s son as every member of his crew has a zoan (artificial or not). Another point that makes me think Yamato is a good perdón is that during the “Yamato Era” Japan became open to other cultures, especially chinese and to new religions like Taoism, Buddhism and philosophies like Confucianism.
Once again, it seems that Yamato might play a significant role in opening Wano and defeating Kaido.
