We now know the full history of Sanji. Looking back at this scene, you can pretty much summarize his story from his reaction to Cricket’s story. I am particularly focusing on visual distance between Sanji and narrating Cricket indicating a sense of self reflection.
In chapters 807-810, we see similar visual distance between the narrator and Zoro possibly indicating a connection to what Wanda is telling us.
Do you guys think Zoro (or his family) suffered something of an utter defeat with no chance of escaping (I am not talking about vs. Mihawk)? Is that what made Zoro to become stronger?
I believe so because he was extra hard worker even compared to his childhood peers/friends. A sort of drive for a kid that can only be achieved through trauma.
