Why Dragon’s devil fruit might be the Monkey-Monkey Fruit, Model: Sun Wukong
I was thinking about how we haven’t seen any type of monkey devil fruit, despite the main character having monkey in his name.

I then started to think about how cool a Sun Wukong model fruit would be. We’ve got the Buddha devil fruit, so it’s within the realm of possibility.

I ended up connecting the dots on a couple of parallels between Sun Wukong and Monkey D. Dragon:
Sun Wukong fought against the Celestial Gods (with more recent depictions painting him as more of a revolutionary) / Dragon’s enemy is the Celestial Dragons and he is head of the Revolutionary Army

Sun Wukong could manipulate the wind amongst other elements / Dragon seems to have some type of control over the wind

Sun Wukong hid his face from humans by covering it with a hood / In many of Dragon’s appearances, he wears a hooded cloak

The Buddha was a thorn in Sun Wukong’s side, tricking him multiple times and trapping him under a mountain / Sengoku, who has the Buddha Devil Fruit, was Fleet Admiral of the Marines and presumably an enemy of Dragon.

Sun Wukong was a monkey / Monkey D. Dragon
It isn’t much to go off of, but maybe something to consider.
Let me know what you think.
