Will the Straw Hat Grand Fleet make an appearance in Egghead?
The Straw Hat Grand Fleet is a fleet formed by seven pirate crews who vowed to serve under Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. In total, there are at least 5640 members.
Many fans have been eagerly anticipating the Straw Hat Grand Fleet’s return to action since their last significant involvement during the Dressrosa arc. There were high hopes that the Grand Fleet would make an appearance in Wano to aid Luffy in his battle against the Beasts Pirates. However, up to this point, their presence has remained elusive. The question now lingers: could we finally witness their intervention at Egghead to assist the Straw Hat Pirates in their confrontation against Saturn, Kizaru, and the Vice Admirals?
I believe that the Straw Hat Grand Fleet will indeed make a reappearance in the story, but it’s unlikely to happen on Egghead Island. Instead, it’s possible that the recent incident, once it becomes widely known, could draw the attention of the fleet, prompting them to gather and move toward Luffy’s current location. However, after the events of the Wano Arc, there may be no urgent reason for them to rush to Luffy’s aid. As far as they are aware, Luffy has defeated Kaido and earned the status of an emperor, which suggests that he is in a relatively safe and powerful position.
Initially, it appeared that Egghead’s role was primarily to introduce Vegapunk and explore its implications. However, it has become increasingly clear that Egghead is now shaping a narrative that centers around a competition for the legendary One Piece, with a particular focus on the Four Emperors.
Recent developments have effectively removed Kid and Law from the race to find the One Piece, as they’ve encountered two of the Four Emperors. These events have highlighted the reasons behind the prestige and power held by figures like Shanks and Blackbeard within the pirate world.
Even Buggy, often seen as a comedic character, has taken a more serious stance, aligning with the Cross Guild, which is proving to be a substantial force in the unfolding storyline.
It’s now Luffy and his crew’s moment to shine. In Egghead Luffy faces the challenge of proving his worthiness as a Yonko to the world, which might mean he won’t rely on the support of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet at this juncture.
